AND here’s what the Agent said about this one!

Charming c1884 executive residence Lifestyle – Once a gatekeeper’s cottage for the original Thrupp estate, this unique c1884 residence echoes old world Victorian charm over two spacious levels fused with modern style perfect for executive living and entertaining. Meticulously appointed throughout, open plan interiors flow to a covered wraparound deck, private central courtyard with dual pedestrian access and separate studio. Boasting 2C zoning, it occupies a coveted position just 500m from Hayes Street village and city ferries. Accommodation – Beyond its gracious sunken facade is a large living and dining area with cathedral ceilings, French cherrywood detail and glass bi-fold doors opening onto the Merbau deck. Exquisitely schemed in stainless steel is the sleek industrial kitchen with premium appliances, a Mahogany bar, a walk-in pantry and storage. A luxurious master bedroom has built-in robes, French doors affording deck access and a deluxe ensuite. Upstairs are two double bedrooms each with custom built-in robes, a Juliet balcony and access to the two-way Portuguese limestone bathroom. Features – Private outdoor entertaining is complemented by a tranquil courtyard with antique Indian timber gates providing dual pedestrian access. Nearby is the superb separate studio or media room dressed in cherrywood with glass bi-fold doors, a wall-to-wall desk, surround sound and a phone line. This magnificent property also has a European laundry, reverse cycle air conditioning, heated towel rails, loft storage, glass louvres, wooden venetians, an outdoor hot/cold shower, temperature controlled gas hot water and an off street car space.

Contemporary styling,
this home appealed to me,
probably the colours set it apart,
but also the simple styling…

Old (below) and new (above) architecture.

And the floorboards look great with these wall colours.

Good spotting! I like them both although the stainless shelves in the kitchen of the first one could probably come down and where is the laundry? Very nice….

How cute is the cottage? I love the outdoor room mimicking the cottage too … and the big light in the living area. Hubby would love the bar fridges too. Nice find!
