This home caught my eye because of the lovely dark subtle
colours used throughout the home,
I imagine there is a lot of exposed (buffed) concrete around,
well that’s how it looks anyway!!

Not a bad view at night, sipping on wine…
Guarding your domain…   🙂

I think the house must be behind a fence to get such a boring front photo…

They’ve got a few styles of interior decor,
above it’s quite dainty, feminine,
as is below – note the featured ceilings below!

 Wonderful use of Orange here,
But of course, this is way more masculine in here,
almost a completely different decor style.

That must be a mini bar in the basement or something??

I simply love the colours in the Kitchen.
Tweet it here if you love it too!!!
Thanks!

Very nice bathroom style & fittings.

Nice Set up out here – yes?

Tennis Anyone?
Or Beer Below!

AND here’s the Master Plan!

AND here’s what the Agent said about it!

LUXURY LIFESTYLE WITH MODERN SENSIBILITY
Discreetly
situated behind impressive gates in the heart of one of the most
exclusive suburbs in Brisbane, resides this glamorous home of
exceptional quality and exquisite style.

Occupying 2023m2 of
prime north facing land with lovely elevation, the home provides a
selection of indoor and outdoor spaces ideal for entertaining on any
scale.

The entrance gates open to reveal a private courtyard with
a feature wall of classic Bisazza Mosaico tiles and lush, tropical
foliage.

Upon entry, the striking reception and sitting rooms set
the tone of the home with rich, dark, polished timber floors and the
Moooi smoke chandeliers by Maarten Baas complimented by a sophisticated
colour palette created by Monica Blinco Design.

The large, light
and airy family room of the upper level opens to a northern aspect
through oversized sliding glass doors on to the wide verandah which
overlooks the impeccably landscaped grounds below.

The
substantial proportions and northern orientation is shared also by the
elegant master bedroom. It boasts his and her wardrobes and a luxurious
Bianco Carrara marble tiled ensuite with dark timber cabinetry, granite
bench tops and stainless steel basins. A frameless glass shower recess
with the choice of two shower heads and a separate bath complete the
appointments.

The upper level also includes a 3000 bottle,
temperature controlled wine cellar which functions as a formal dining
room perfect for intimate dinner parties. There is also a very large
study which features a beautiful marble accented fire place and floor to
ceiling storage and book shelves.

Encompassing its own wing of
the home is a state of the art, modern kitchen designed by Wyer and
Craw. It features 2pac cabinetry, island bench with stainless steel
bench tops and up- to- the- minute appliances by Liebherr, Gaggenau and
Miele. It also includes abundant space for relaxed, family dining.

A
further two lovely and very spacious bedrooms with generous windows and
a marble tiled family bathroom complete the upper level.

The
ground level is zoned for guests, recreation, relaxation and
entertaining. It features an enormous family room with polished concrete
floors, an all-inclusive kitchenette and audio visual system with
surround sound. The room opens via huge sliding glass doors to an
undercover terrace, courtyard with built in bbq and a large grassed
area.

A flood lit, championship size tennis court with
north-south orientation and a tranquil, fully tiled, heated pool provide
a choice of year round recreational diversions. The adjacent lawn is
perfect for a casual game of family cricket, a raucous childrens party
or a large scale elegant marquis function. Outdoor speakers and
professional garden lighting enhance the atmosphere while the mature
landscaping ensures a wonderful level of privacy.

An additional 3
spacious bedrooms, powder room, bathroom, laundry and storage complete
the lower level along with a 3 car garage, workshop and 2 car guest
carport.

30 Windermere Rd is a contemporary architectural
statement that incorporates privacy, character and striking design. It
offers the perfect blend of luxury lifestyle and modern sensibility.
Located in Brisbanes most exclusive enclave with close proximity to the
city, prestigious schools, boutiques, cafs and excellent transport, this

Lovely home Annie, I wouldn't mind a lap pool, but being in Melbourne it would have to be heated and indoors, well like in an english type sunroom.x

I like the kitchen too, although the glass cupboard at the end of the bench could have been “styled” a little better.
Love the orange rug, a great way to have colour and not too difficult to change it when a change of colour is desired.

I know this house! I saw this renovated on the website of a fabulous interior designer (whose name now escapes me). Looks like they have changed a few things since then, decor wise, but it's still a gorgeous home. You should have seen it before! Erk!
