I don’t know much about Turramurra,
but it appears to be about an hour north of Sydney!
This Victorian home, circa 1897,
is another beautiful family home/property,
elegantly decorated and caught my eye tonight…

Beautifully tendered gardens, plants, landscapes.

A relaxing room.

I’m not usually a fan of b/w checkered tiles,
but I really like it in this room!

I think this home has been very carefully renovated,
the way the old architecture blends with contemporary
styles is quite amazing.

I like the panneled look on the bedhead wall
co-ordinating with the subtle blinds. Simple but elegant.

Grand looking family home, with the
all necessary pool & tennis court!

AND here’s what the Agent said about it!

‘Talagow’ Fine Victorian Architecture

Accommodation – elegant foyer, beautifully proportioned formal living and dining rooms. Five large bedrooms, main with walk in robe and ensuite. Generous family room. Well appointed study. Fabulous eat-in kitchen and spacious informal room flowing to sheltered terrace.

I saw this in my real estate lurking too.

    But do tell me…..

What is missing from the kitchen????

(If I am paying $4M+ for a house, I would sure like to have a rangehood, but as my parter said, if I could afford $4M, I wouldn't be cooking myself LOL)

veronica, you are right I think, a bit slack I think too! You can buy rangehoods that sit in the bench like the stovetop, and don't need to be hung, they could have considered that for minimal effort – or a feature large rangehood wouldn't have cost more than a couple of thousand… strange.

Love this home, love Turramurra too! My grandparents used to live there, such a beautiful, leafy suburb with gorgeous (but $$$$) homes. This is the closest Aus gets to colonial (aka Connecticut) styles houses!
