I’ve been working on a new online gifts store,
so my time has been distracted,
more on that in a month or so!

But I still wanted to post this home,
I really loved the open feel of the main part of the home,
see if you like it!

The exterior has two components to it,
the large and modern appearance above,
and the quaint and heritage appearance below!

And who doesn’t still love wide porches…

I really love this part of the home..

Great looking kitchen, large, functional.

This is my dream office set up for me and my DH,
or perhaps the kids when they behave!

While I love individual elements of these homes I have to admit I feel it's a little disjointed between front and back. I'm not a huge fan of such sudden transitions between old and new, I prefer a more subtle mix. Beautiful home though 🙂

To be honest I feel like I can't really “see” the house because of the photos being so “tricked up” with the suave lighting and staging. It's as if the real ouse is hidden behind the blinding presentation!

I'm not really comfy with the old and new either with no real blending of the two.

You are a tough crowd to please!! but I have to say in the owners defence that I don't think the home lacks flow, as much as the furnishings. Surely making a heritage home flow into a 00's home reno is no easy feat… Also, I might add that the photographer has used the wrong light aperture, if you know anything about photography, you will know what I mean. It's made them quite “dirty” hard to see the details. But I have to say I love the exterior, although I can see why others would say “keep that home like the cottage it's meant to be, and if you want a huge modern home, adapt a more appropriate home” – I get that too.

KEEP UP THE FEEDBACK People, I love it!!!

Like both aspects of the home but I do favour the old part. I can't wait to see what you have in-store in a month. Mimi xx

That modern extension is fantastic, the open plan kitchen and outdoor area, and love that office area. Decorating could do with a helping hand, but I wouldn't say no.
